The unparalleled comfort and eco-friendly benefits experienced in the hospital’s hempcrete rooms inspired this decision, ensuring that the hospital’s team enjoys the healthiest and most sustainable living spaces. This initiative not only supports staff well-being but also highlights hempcrete’s versatility and excellence in construction.

Design & Features

Total Footprint Area: 450 sq ft. (45 sq.m).

Total Volume of Hempcrete Installed: 1228 cu.ft. (123 cu.m).

Hempcrete Application :  External walls, partition walls, false ceilings.

Structural Details:

  • Bamboo skeleton for the walls, cast with hempcrete.
  • Lime plaster and natural lime paint finish for walls.
  • Hempcrete roof insulation on bamboo frame.
  • Top layer with a metal structure with a galvanized tin roof.

Other Materials:

  • Bamboo doors and windows.

Hempcrete Construction Timeline & Team

  • Timeline: 6 months
  • Labor: Local masons, workers, and carpenters were trained specifically for the project, gaining valuable skills in sustainable construction.
